About Hyde Park House
Hyde Park House is a four-storey federation-era hotel on the corner of William and Yurong streets in Darlinghurst, on the city edge of the eastern suburbs. Each floor runs as its own bar: a public bar at street level, Miami Sports on level 1, the Balcony Bar on level 2 and Slims Rooftop on top. The venue quotes room for functions of 20 to 300 guests across its levels. The Balcony Bar, lit by big restored windows with a balcony over William Street, takes functions of up to 150 and opens to the public from Friday afternoon to Sunday. Slims Rooftop looks over Hyde Park to the city skyline, with pink umbrellas and outdoor lounges; tables for up to 30 can be booked online, while bigger groups, booths, pavilions and exclusive hire are arranged by email, with minimum guest numbers and a minimum spend for full takeovers. The ground-floor public bar has timber doors that open onto the street, 16 beers on tap and plenty of screens for live sport. Canapé menus are available every day, along with dining and cocktail menus. The rooftop is a bar more than a restaurant: quieter early in the week and busier with DJs from Friday to Sunday. It is strictly 18 and over, and the venue does not accept bucks parties, 18th to 21st birthdays, dress-ups or hens groups with novelty props, and it applies responsible service rules firmly.

Friendly fun service in a great location, relaxed downstairs plus the rooftop bar. The food was generous served at a good price. It’s not fancy, it’s a fun relaxed pub and worth a meal.

Absolutely stunning views of the city! Hyde Park House Rooftop is easily one of the best spots in the area for a sunset drink. The decor is chic, the music is at the perfect level where you can still have a conversation,…

On the corner of Yurong Street and William Street Darlinghurst (near the back of the Museum) is Hyde Park House. It’s had many names / but I hope this name sticks because it reminds me of our close proximity to the city.…
