About Goros
Goros is a Japanese-style drinking house on Mary Street in Surry Hills, about 300 metres from Central Station. It pairs classic cocktails made with Japanese ingredients and Japanese tap beers with yakitori cooked over charcoal, while DJs play hip hop, jazz, disco and soul from vinyl. The fit-out is warm pine, paper lanterns and booths, and the venue is adults only, open Tuesday to Saturday from 4pm until 1am, or 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. Groups can book anything from a single room to the whole building. Full exclusive hire takes 200 seated or 400 for a cocktail party. The Front Room holds 40 seated or 60 standing, and joins with Karaoke Room 4 for up to 80. The Courtyard takes up to 80 when booked exclusively, the Upper Courtyard 30 to 40, the Vinyl Lounge up to 28 and the largest karaoke room up to 35. Karaoke Rooms 1 to 3 suit smaller groups of seven or eight for 90-minute sessions, and Room 4 is for groups of 24 or more. Food and drink packages are put together around the event, from canapés and cocktails for a work function to a seated group dinner, with a full wine and sake list behind the bar. In the karaoke rooms you can order straight to the room, or add bottle service with a host. Access is step-free via Mary Lane, with an accessible bathroom. Birthdays, hens and bucks nights, corporate events and Christmas parties are all regular bookings.
