About Gili Rooftop @ Taronga Zoo
Taronga Zoo sits on 28 hectares of harbour foreshore at 2A Bradleys Head Road, Mosman, and its events centre is run by Trippas White Group, which handles the catering and event management. The Gili Rooftop is the smallest of its indoor spaces and the one best suited to a private party. The room sits on the roof of the events building, reached by a direct lift. Floor-to-ceiling windows and fully retractable doors open it onto a circular outdoor terrace, so guests look across the water to the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and city during the day and at the lit skyline at night. Inside there is a private timber bar, a herringbone-tiled floor, upholstered designer chairs and custom lighting. It holds 80 guests for a cocktail party or theatre layout, 60 for a seated dinner and 48 in a conference setup, and it can be paired with the neighbouring N'galawa Terrace for a larger event, at an extra fee. For bigger celebrations the zoo also offers N'galawa Terrace (200 cocktail, 150 seated), Dalang Ballroom (300 cocktail, 250 seated) and several harbour-view lawns, plus outdoor ceremony sites. Birthdays, engagements, weddings, social gatherings and corporate events are all catered in-house, and the events team builds each package around the date, guest numbers and budget given in the enquiry.
