About Dove & Olive
Dove & Olive is a corner pub at 156 Devonshire Street in Surry Hills, a few minutes' walk uphill from Central Station and a block below the Surry Hills light rail stop. It is known for craft beer, with 26 rotating taps, plus a long gin and whisky list, and it runs private and corporate functions across a dedicated top floor. Upstairs there are three spaces. The Terrace is a covered, heated semi-outdoor area with high tables and lounges for 35 standing. The Parlour and Terrace together hold 35 to 55 standing or 28 at a formal table, with a chef's table and a mini bar pouring two taps. The Lounge Bar, with stained glass and lounges, takes 50 to 80 standing or 58 seated and has its own cocktail bar and seven taps. Book the whole top floor and you get all three for 90 to 150 standing or 86 seated, with room to dance. For bigger events, spaces can be combined for up to 250, or the whole pub hired for up to 350. Catering runs from canapés priced by the piece and heartier items such as sliders or fish and chips, to alternate-serve set menus at $65 for two courses or $80 for three. Drinks can be a prepaid bar tab, a basic, premium or deluxe package from $70 per person for two hours, or guests paying their own way. Each function space has a TV you can connect to for slides or the game, and you can bring a playlist. Bookings need a $500 security deposit and a signed booking form.
