About Cropley House
Cropley House is a 1920s building on Watkins Road in Baulkham Hills, restored as a function venue and set on five acres of parkland a few minutes from the Norwest Business Park. Manicured gardens flank the house on both sides, there is plenty of free parking on site, and an in-house service and catering team runs events across two levels. The ground floor holds two matching pillarless ballrooms, the Victoria Room and the Elizabeth Room, each with high ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Either room takes up to 250 guests at a banquet, 300 for cocktails, 180 theatre-style or 120 in cabaret layout, and both lead out to a sheltered veranda where guests can gather for drinks before dinner. Upstairs, the Cropley Room is a smaller ballroom for up to 150 guests, lit from two sides and opening onto a private balcony, while the twin View Rooms each suit about 72 seated or 80 standing. A whole level can be booked exclusively. Outdoors, a rose garden with a gazebo and a platform beside the estate's old oak tree host ceremonies and drinks for 60 and 100 guests. Weddings are a big part of the calendar, from intimate ceremonies of 40 to seated receptions of close to 200, but the house also hosts engagement parties, anniversaries, christenings, fundraisers and school formals, as well as conferences and team days that use the ground-floor rooms for sessions and the upper rooms for breakouts. Catering is handled in house, and enquiries go through the events team, who take you through menus, layout and pricing.
