About Candelori's

Candelori's is a family-owned Italian restaurant at 685 The Horsley Drive, Smithfield, run by the Candelori family and trading from this address for more than two decades. Bread and pasta are made on site each day, pizzas come out of a wood-fired oven, and the wine list leans on regional Italian bottles. Free parking sits behind the building, reached from Stein Lane off Justin Street. For events the restaurant offers two kinds of room. The main dining room, built around an open kitchen clad in marble, handles bigger groups such as engagements, weddings and christenings, while the private rooms suit family dinners, birthdays and business meetings; one of them has AV equipment for presentations. Set menus apply to groups of 10 or more, bookings run for four hours, and the venue and its bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. Decorations are up to you, though confetti and table scatter are not allowed. Food is served as shared platters. Three set menus run from $98 to $148 per person, each with starters, entrées, pasta, alternating mains, sides, dessert and coffee, and a shorter corporate menu costs $90 per person from Monday to Thursday. Extra platters such as scampi, oysters or a carved wagyu ribeye can be added, and vegan dishes can be swapped into any menu. Drinks are charged separately: a three-hour package of wine, beer and soft drinks is $55 per person for 30 or more adults, or you can run a bar tab. The restaurant is not BYO, apart from celebration cakes.

Set menus cost $98, $118 or $148 per person, and a corporate menu is $90 per person from Monday to Thursday. Children 13 and under can have a kids' menu at $38 each. A three-hour drinks package is $55 per person (plus $18 per person for each extra hour), and a soft drink package is $27 per person, both for groups of at least 30 adults. Deposits range from $300 for 10 to 14 guests up to $2,000 for 60 or more. Events run for four hours, with extra time charged at $450 an hour. Groups of eight or more pay a 10% service charge Monday to Saturday; Sundays carry a 10% surcharge and public holidays 15%.

Food

Every event menu is shared on platters: starters such as schiacciata and olives, entrées like fried calamari and tempura zucchini flowers, a pasta course, two alternating mains, sides, an individual dessert and coffee. The higher menus add dishes such as handmade mozzarella with prosciutto, seared scallops and crab and prawn ravioli. Add-on platters include scampi, king prawns, oysters, lamb skewers and a 1kg wagyu ribeye carved at the table. Vegan dishes can replace items on any menu, and allergies should be given to the events coordinator before menus are finalised.

Beverages

Drinks are not part of the set menus. The beverage package covers house wines (both red and white), three bottled beers, water, soft drink and juice for three hours at $55 per person, with a minimum of 30 adults. A soft drink package is $27 per person and a kids' drink package $18 per person. A bar tab is available on request, and bottles of spirits can be ordered for tables through the coordinator. No BYO.
