About Canterbury League Club
Canterbury League Club is a large licensed club on Bridge Road in Belmore, in Sydney's south west, with an events team that runs functions across a range of rooms. Its spaces cover everything from a small cocktail gathering to a big seated dinner with dancing. The Showroom holds the most guests, with a private bar, a generous dance floor, an immersive audio-visual setup and its own bathrooms, and it takes up to 500. The Paragon Room takes up to 250 and adds a performance stage, dressing rooms, three large projector screens, a dance floor and a bar. For mid-sized groups, the Terrace has floor-to-ceiling glass looking onto the club's waterfall, a bar of its own and flexible layouts. It suits 130 for canapés and drinks, 90 at banquet tables, 120 in theatre rows or 60 in cabaret seating. Smaller parties can look at Bartega, a cocktail bar with a long wine list that seats 40, or the Heritage Bar, a warmly furnished lounge with its own bar. Blueberry has a private bar plus a roll-down screen and AV, and the Restaurant looks out over the gardens and waterfall at the front of the club. The club's chefs build the menu around each event, and catering is tailored to the booking. The events team looks after layouts, AV and coordination on the day. The club hosts birthdays, baby showers, christenings, kitchen teas, engagements, weddings, Christmas parties, corporate conferences, gala dinners, school formals and graduations.
