About Bar 83 at Sydney Tower

Bar 83 is the cocktail bar on level 83 of Sydney Tower in the Sydney CBD. You reach it through level 4 of Westfield Sydney at 108 Market Street, between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets, and then ride up the tower. The room curves around the building with floor-to-ceiling glass, giving guests a 260-degree view across the city by day and after dark. The fit-out leans retro, with red and white seating, velvet banquettes and round tables, and the bar can be set up for a cocktail party or a seated meal. It holds up to 140 guests either way. Groups of 11 to 50 book through the reservations team and are seated among the regular crowd, while events for 50 or more, or a full buyout of the bar, go through the events team with a proper enquiry. The house furniture is included, and on Friday and Saturday nights resident DJs play from 7pm, with a dancefloor once the party gets going. Food comes from the bar kitchen only, as outside caterers aren't allowed. The regular menu runs to oysters, crumpets with caviar, cheese and charcuterie, burrata, skewers, mini prawn rolls and cheeseburgers, and the events team can put together custom canapés and a tailored cocktail list for a function. Dietary needs are catered for where possible. Screens and microphones are available for private events at an extra charge, and there is guest wifi.
