About Baby Dragon Bar
Baby Dragon Bar is a cocktail bar at 112 Enmore Road, at the Enmore end of Newtown, dressed as a hidden tropical island: running water, dense greenery, stone walls and a pink blossom tree spreading over the back bar. The drinks lean theatrical, with smoke, flame and ice worked into many of the house cocktails, and the kitchen sends out bar snacks and share plates to match. For parties the whole bar can be booked exclusively for four hours or more, with a minimum of 20 guests. Exclusive use is offered Sunday through Thursday from 4pm, with finishing times between 10pm and 11:30pm depending on the night, so it suits a midweek birthday, a Christmas party or a team night out. The enquiry form takes groups of up to 42, and the room works best as a stand-and-mingle cocktail party with seating around the bar. Booking works by pairing a food package with a drinks package. Food package A costs $50 per person for four hours and brings fries, olives and dip plus four items chosen from options such as vegetarian rice paper rolls, samosas, jerk chicken, chilli squid and beef skewers; packages B and C add more choices, and every package can stretch to five or six hours. The drinks packages step up from prosecco and house cocktails to Australian sparkling and then French Champagne, each with wine, Young Henry's beer and soft drinks.
