About Aurora Rooftop Hotel
Aurora Rooftop Hotel is a three-level pub at 324 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills, right beside Central Station. It trades as a local with a bistro, a sports bar and a bottle shop, and its upper two levels double as function spaces for anything from after-work drinks to large corporate events. The Rooftop Bar is the drawcard: an open-air beer garden looking across to the Central clock tower and Sydney Tower, with a retractable roof so bookings go ahead in any weather. It takes groups of 20 up to 250 and comes with its own bar, two TVs, a music system with DJ input and lift access. One floor down, the Balcony Bar is a large modern room with lounge seating, dining tables and a covered deck; it can be split into sections for a group of 15 or opened up for as many as 290. Across both levels the venue can handle up to 400 guests. Food comes from a canapé list that runs from bruschetta and arancini to party pies, sliders, skewers and mini meals, along with cheese, charcuterie and seafood platters and metre-long pizza boards. Drinks can run on a bar tab or a Silver, Gold or Platinum package, priced at $65, $75 or $90 per person for three hours or $75, $85 or $100 for four; packages are offered for exclusive bookings only. A deposit of 10% of the minimum spend secures the date and the balance is due seven days out. The venue does not host 18th birthdays, bucks or hens parties.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can the Aurora Rooftop Hotel host?
The Rooftop Bar takes 20 to 250 guests and the Balcony Bar 15 to 290. Using the venue's spaces together, functions can run up to 400 people.
What happens if it rains on the rooftop?
The rooftop has a retractable roof, so a function booked up there can go ahead whatever the weather.
How much are the drinks packages?
Silver, Gold and Platinum packages cost $65, $75 and $90 per person for three hours, or $75, $85 and $100 for four. They apply to exclusive function bookings, and an on-consumption bar tab is also available.
Does the venue take 18th or 21st birthdays?
18th birthday functions are not hosted, and neither are bucks or hens parties. 21st birthdays can be booked, but drinks packages are not offered for them, so drinks run on a bar tab instead.
How do deposits and payment work?
A deposit of 10% of the minimum spend confirms the booking, and the remaining balance is due seven days before the event or at its end. Food choices, final numbers and dietaries must be confirmed and paid 14 days ahead.
