About Aerial Function Centre
Aerial Function Centre sits on level 7 of UTS Building 10, entered from the foyer at 235 Jones Street, Ultimo. It is run by ActivateUTS and takes bookings from companies, groups and individuals, with profits going to UTS student programs. Central Station is about five minutes away on foot, and the Interpark UTS car park on Thomas Street has a lift up to the venue. The centre is built around five function rooms of about 99 square metres each, with high ceilings, full-height windows and direct access to the rooftop terraces. Each room holds 100 standing or 70 at banquet tables. Opened up together they form a 494 square metre space with no pillars, taking 450 for cocktails or 350 for a seated dinner. Two terraces and a bar look out over the city skyline towards Anzac Bridge. Rooms can be arranged for cocktails, banquets, lounges or a dance floor, and partial or full venue hire is available. Sound, mood lighting and screens are on hand through the venue's AV partner. All catering is done by the in-house kitchen, and outside food is not allowed. Canapé menus start at $35 per person, a BBQ menu also starts at $35 per person, and live cooking stations include a smokehouse feast from $55 per person and a woodfired pizza feast from $50 per person, with matched wines for an extra $28 per person. Every space carries a minimum spend that can go on food and drinks packages, with surcharges on weekends and public holidays. The venue is accessible, with lifts, ramps and an accessible bathroom, and a hearing loop can be arranged.
