About Silent Sounds
Silent Sounds is a wireless headphone hire and sales company operating as Silent Sydney Pty Ltd, with warehouses in Waterloo in Sydney and in Melbourne. It has been running headset events since 2014, from silent discos and conferences to silent yoga classes, and also hires DJ booths, party lighting, speakers, microphones, neon putt putt games and hologram setups. The silent disco hire kit includes as many headphones as you need, three transmitters so up to three channels can play at once, cables, and chargers for longer hires. Music comes from your own phone, tablet, laptop or DJ gear, either plugged in or over Bluetooth, and guests switch channels with a button on the headphones. Battery life runs to 10 to 12 hours, the signal reaches up to 500 metres, and battery-powered options suit parks and outdoor sites without power. The party pack adds lights and MP3 players and is pitched at birthdays, weddings, engagements, hens and bucks nights, kids parties, sports clubs and New Year's Eve. There are two ways to hire. With dry hire you collect the kit from Waterloo at no charge or pay for courier delivery and pickup, and follow the video instructions with 24/7 tech support on call. With a managed event the team delivers and sets up, and can supply headphone hosts to hand out and collect headsets, an AV technician or a DJ. Hire is priced by the number of days, with discounts for multi-day and educational bookings, and headphones can be branded with a company logo for corporate events and activations.

How much does silent disco hire cost?
Silent disco hire starts from $130 for a one-day dry hire, with the price rising with the number of headphones and days. Staffing, lights and DJs are extra.
Can I pick up the equipment in Sydney?
Yes. Click-and-collect from the Waterloo warehouse is free, or a paid courier can deliver during business hours and collect the kit after your event.
How many music channels can we have?
The standard kit comes with three transmitters for three channels, and 5 and 10 channel headphones are available on request for bigger events.
Do we need mains power?
No. Battery-powered transmitters with Bluetooth are available for outdoor and remote setups, and the headphones run for 10 to 12 hours on a charge.
Can Silent Sounds run the event for us?
Yes. A managed event includes delivery and setup, and can add headphone hosts to hand out and collect headsets, an AV technician and a live DJ.
