About Sound Empire
Sound Empire is an event equipment hire business based at Caringbah in the Sutherland Shire. Its catalogue covers sound, lighting, staging, audio visual, DJ and band equipment and special effects, and nearly all of it can be priced and booked directly through the website for one night, two to three nights or a whole week. The company also plans and supplies larger event productions, working through budget, layout and the look of the room with you before bringing in the gear. The speaker range starts with single powered speakers from QSC and JBL, each supplied with a stand and the cables it needs, and moves up to matched pairs with subwoofers for bigger rooms. The Event Speaker Pack pairs two 1,000 watt JBL speakers with a small mixer so you can play music from a phone, tablet or laptop, with a Bluetooth adaptor or a cabled or wireless microphone available as extras. The QSC 2000 system, a pair of 12 inch powered speakers, is pitched at around 100 guests, and the Party DJ Sound Pack adds a Pioneer all-in-one controller for about 130. For ceremonies and outdoor spots without power there is a Bose S1 Pro battery speaker that runs for roughly six hours, and at the top end a Dynacord Cobra line array can cover audiences of up to 2,000. Beyond sound, the warehouse holds party and production lighting, uplights that run on batteries, fog and haze machines, CO2 jets, confetti and bubble machines, glow bars, tables and seating, light-up numbers, neon signs, stages, truss, projectors and screens, lecterns, generators and patio heaters. An LED light-up dance floor is available in several sizes, and an audio visual operator can be booked by the hour to run the technical side on the day.

What is the cheapest speaker I can hire from Sound Empire?
A single QSC K10 powered speaker costs $50 for one night and comes with a speaker stand, a signal cable and a power lead. The Bose S1 Pro battery speaker is $80 a night, and the Event Speaker Pack with two JBL speakers and a mixer starts at $130 a night.
How do the hire periods work?
Most items are offered for one night, two to three nights or one week. Longer periods cost more but work out cheaper per night, with a week usually double the single night rate. A one-night hire is due back on the next day the warehouse is open after your event.
Can Sound Empire deliver and set up the equipment?
Yes. Delivery and collection need a minimum equipment spend of $200, and flexible delivery windows start from $50 each way depending on your address. You can pay more for a set day, a set time, after-hours drop-offs or Sunday and public holiday service, and set-up or pack-down can be added as labour.
What do I need to bring to collect my order?
Bring your booking number or name, an Australian driver licence or photo ID card, a statement or utility bill from the last 90 days showing the same address, and a physical debit or credit card. A bond of $100 is held on most warehouse pickups, or $200 for DJ equipment, and released once the gear comes back on time and in good order.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Every cancellation or postponement carries a $50 processing fee. More than 30 days out you can take a credit or refund, between 14 and 30 days you receive a full credit note, between 7 and 14 days an 80 per cent credit note, and within 7 days of the event nothing is returned.
