About Jo Booth Event Celebrant
Jo Booth is a Sydney marriage celebrant who also works as a wedding reception MC. She came to celebrancy after years in event management, and that background shows in how she works: run sheets, timings and vendor coordination sit alongside a ceremony style built on humour, warmth and the couple's own story. She puts inclusivity front and centre, welcomes every couple, and leaves religion out unless you want it in. Her full ceremony package covers unlimited contact while you plan, a personalised script, vow cards, a video talk-through before the day, her ceremony planning booklet, a professional Bose PA and microphone, management of your ceremony music, and all of the legal paperwork and registration. She arrives early to settle nerves and can help organise group photos. For couples who want something small, there is a short elopement option for up to 10 guests with legal wording and your own vows. The MC side is a genuine service in its own right. Jo stays from the end of the ceremony until the dance floor is full, usually around five hours, working with the venue, photographer and DJ or band so entrances, speeches, first dance, cake and exit land on time. Booking her for both roles means she already knows your story when the reception starts. She also runs vow renewals, commitment ceremonies and naming ceremonies, and is happy to travel across NSW, interstate and overseas.

Can Jo be both our celebrant and our MC?
Yes. Her combined package covers the full ceremony and then reception hosting, so she already knows your story when she picks up the microphone.
How long does Jo stay as MC?
She stays from straight after the ceremony until the party is in full swing, which is usually about a five-hour booking.
Does Jo bring a sound system?
Full ceremonies include her professional Bose PA and microphone, and she can play and manage your ceremony music through it. The small elopement option does not include the PA.
Does Jo travel outside Sydney?
Yes. Travel within Sydney metro is included, and set travel fees apply for places such as the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and Southern Highlands.
Does she do ceremonies other than weddings?
Yes. Jo writes and leads vow renewals, commitment ceremonies and naming ceremonies, priced from $500.
