About Darlinghurst Life Drawing
Darlinghurst Life Drawing runs relaxed, teacher-led classes from two studios on Oxford Street, at number 205 on the ground floor and upstairs at 207. The ground-floor room goes by Room 205. Each class works from a nude live model, and guests can ask for a male or female model when they book a private session. Nobody needs to know how to draw; the teacher sets up each pose and shows the group how to approach it. For a hens night, birthday or other celebration, the studio can be booked exclusively for a private group class of up to 20 people. Everything needed to draw is supplied, including charcoal, graphite pencils, sepia ink and sheets of cartridge paper, and guests are welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks. There are also public group classes for anyone who would rather join a session with a couple of friends. Beyond the studio, the team runs online group classes that can take up to 100 people, which suits teams spread across offices. One-on-one lessons are available as a pack of three one-hour sessions, and the studio itself can be hired for private events. Gift vouchers cover a class for two people and stay valid for six months. Prices for private groups are quoted on enquiry.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can come to a private class?
Private group classes in the Oxford Street studio take up to 20 guests. For larger or spread-out teams, online group classes can host up to 100 people.
Do guests need any drawing experience?
No. A teacher leads the class, sets up each pose with the model and gives direction as you draw, so first-timers can take part comfortably.
What do we need to bring?
Just your drinks and snacks, as the class is BYO. Charcoal, graphite pencils, sepia ink and cartridge paper are all provided.
Can we choose the model?
Classes draw from nude male or female models, and a private group can say which it would prefer when enquiring about a booking.
How much does a private hens class cost?
Private class pricing isn't published and is quoted when you enquire. A gift voucher for two people to attend a class is listed at $100.
