About Men On Fire

Men On Fire is a Sydney hens party company based in Carlingford, started in 2016 by Sam, who served as a firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW before turning the job into a party act. Its best-known booking is a firefighter life drawing class. The model turns up at the door in full uniform, which is usually the bride's first surprise of the night, then settles in as the subject of a 90-minute drawing class. Between rounds he loses a layer of kit, and a host keeps things moving with music and games so the guests who can't draw have as much fun as those who can. The team comes to you anywhere across Greater Sydney, from the Northern Beaches to Penrith and the Sutherland Shire, and also travels to the Central Coast, Wollongong, Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and the Southern Highlands. Groups without a space of their own can use a CBD partner venue such as the ArtHouse Hotel, or East Village, where a $300 bar tab applies. The class can also be combined with a cocktail lesson as a three-hour mobile package, or folded into a venue package in Barangaroo that adds a cocktail class and dinner in a private room. The tone is set by the organiser. Some groups want it arty and relaxed, others want it silly, and the whole session can be run with no nudity at all. The company works with groups from about six people upwards and will build custom packages for 40 or more. A $149 deposit holds the date, the balance and final guest numbers are due 14 days out, and four to eight weeks' notice is recommended, especially for Friday and Saturday nights in spring and summer.

The Fireman Life Drawing class is listed from $59 per person. Adding a mobile cocktail class as a combined three-hour package starts from $139 per person, and the Barangaroo venue package, which includes a cocktail class, life drawing in a private room and dinner, starts from $155 per person. A $149 deposit confirms the date, with the balance due 14 days before the event.

Food

Food isn't part of the standalone class, but the Barangaroo venue package includes dinner with share pizzas and sides.

Beverages

For mobile bookings the group supplies its own drinks. At the East Village partner venue a $300 bar tab is required, and the venue packages include two cocktails per person.
