About Rosa The Belly Dancer

Rosa is a Sydney belly dancer who grew up in Sweden, where she won national youth dance championships and was teaching students by her mid-teens. She moved to Australia at 19, completed a Bachelor of Dance and performed on live television and at the Sydney Olympics welcome ceremony before falling for Arabic music and making belly dance her focus. She has since danced at concerts, restaurants and private events around Sydney and in Queensland, and her background also takes in street dance, salsa, reggaeton and samba. Her signature package pairs Rosa with a skilled darbuka drummer. The show brings in plenty of theatre, with a fire headpiece, LED wings, LED and silk fan veils, fire palm candles, a fire sword and an LED stick, and it includes audience participation so guests can join in. You can choose a 30, 45 or 60 minute performance, and any package can be extended. For a bigger production, add live saxophone, extra drummers or a flute player. Rosa performs at weddings and engagements, birthday parties, hennas and other cultural celebrations, christenings, girls' parties and corporate events, and she also takes regular residencies at restaurants and venues. She is available for destination and international bookings as well. Quotes are personalised, so email Rosa with the date, venue and type of celebration. A 50 per cent deposit is required to confirm the booking, with the balance due by the day of the event.
