About Movement Nation
Movement Nation is a street dance studio with branches in Parramatta and Hurstville, built around the idea that dance is a way to connect with people and grow in confidence. The Parramatta studio is on the first floor of 110 Church Street, a short walk from the station, and its team of around twenty teachers covers styles from hip hop and heels to K-pop, with classes graded from beginner through to advanced. For celebrations, the studio offers private group sessions. They suit birthdays, hens nights and corporate team building, and the teachers shape each session around what the group wants, whether that is a high-energy class or a relaxed routine everyone can learn together. Sessions are held at either studio, subject to availability, or the team can bring the class to a venue of your choosing for an additional charge. The larger Parramatta room fits about 30 to 35 people and has coloured LED lighting, while a smaller room holds 10 to 12. Both have mirrors, professional dance flooring, air conditioning and a sound system you can connect a phone to. Weddings are another specialty. A choreographer works one-on-one with the couple to build a three to five minute routine to the songs they pick, from a romantic first dance to a cheeky bridal party number or a groomsmen performance. Private one-on-one coaching is also available for anyone wanting to sharpen their skills, and the studio runs weekly adult classes plus term-based kids classes. Prices for group sessions are given on enquiry.

What occasions are group sessions for?

Do we need any dance experience?
No. The studio's beginner classes are built for people with little or no experience, and private sessions are pitched to the level of whoever is in the room.
How many people fit in the Parramatta studio?
The big Parramatta studio holds roughly 30 to 35 people and the small one about 10 to 12. Both have mirrors, professional flooring, air conditioning and a Bluetooth sound system.
Can the teachers come to us?
Yes. Group sessions can be held at the Parramatta or Hurstville studio, or the team can travel to your preferred location for an extra cost.
Where do we park in Parramatta?
The studio is on Level 1 at 110 Church Street, about five minutes on foot from Parramatta station. Parking is available at Westfield Parramatta or the station car park.
