About Icon Corporate Events
Icon Corporate Events is a small Sydney event management business operated by The Experience Index Pty Ltd. It calls itself a compact team that relies on a trusted network of suppliers, contractors and partners, and it concentrates on corporate, association and community events rather than private parties. The business belongs to the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) and acts as event partner for AMI NSW. Its services fall into three groups. Create covers event concepts, consultancy on an organisation's event calendar, and format and content. Build helps clients hold on to an audience between events through community, marketing and social media strategy. Recent work includes MECA's 35th anniversary, a five-day program at the agency's own premises that closed with a celebration at The Colebee, Nurragingy Reserve; the Cities for Us Summit for SSROC and Shelter NSW; the CHiQ product launch; and a Sydney end-of-year party for Zendesk. Icon suits businesses, councils and associations that want one team to take an event off their hands, from a 150-person conference to a staff Christmas party. Event management is quoted job by job. What does Icon handle for a corporate event?
Concept development, finding a venue, managing suppliers, logistics and run sheets, coordinating AV and production, booking entertainment and team building activities, and guest registration with on-site support on the day.
Does Icon offer ongoing packages?
Yes. As well as one-off events, Icon can work month to month or under a 12-month arrangement that covers an organisation's series of webinars, workshops, conferences and other events.
What is the event concept session and what does it cost?
It is a facilitated brainstorm of two to six hours, run by a facilitator with a note-taker, that works through your values, audience and ideas and ends with a written report. Icon's FAQ lists it at $3,300 plus GST, and the team can go on to run the event once the concept is approved.
Will there be extra costs?
Icon works to the agreed budget. Any extra cost, including changes the client requests, is flagged in advance and needs your approval, and clients receive weekly work-in-progress updates that track spending.
What is Icon's planning process?
Icon uses what it calls the 4 M's: Mindset, getting to know your business, values and audience; Make, developing a concept specific to you; Manage, running the event in detail; and Measure, reporting against agreed KPIs once it is over.
