About Tailored Team Building

Tailored Team Building is a Sydney company based in Belrose on the Northern Beaches. It was started by Kerri, who spent 18 years working in corporate roles before building a business around getting colleagues to connect away from their desks. The crew runs hosted team events for workplaces, conferences and private groups, and its facilitators include actors, comedians and improvisers. It also runs events in other Australian cities and New Zealand, and has been a finalist in the Local Business Awards each year from 2023 to 2026. Outdoor formats include the Corporate Amazing Race, where teams collect clues in purple envelopes and work through hosted checkpoints over roughly 3 to 5 km in two to three hours, plus an Adventure Race, Mystery Race, Property Race, Corporate Olympics, a scavenger hunt with no fixed route, and Squid Games. Indoors there is Task Master, Game Show, Brick Masters, Quiz Masters, a sip-and-paint session and an Innovation Challenge. At Christmas the Amazing Race, Mystery Race, Task Master and Game Show all come in festive versions, and virtual sessions are also offered. Conference breakouts can be as short as 30 minutes or as long as two hours, for groups from about 20 to more than 200. You choose where it happens. In Sydney that has included the CBD, The Rocks, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and Manly, and indoor formats can come to your office, hotel or conference venue. The team also helps find a venue and can arrange catering and extras. Every event is fully hosted, with no app for your staff to learn, and the organiser simply turns up and takes part. It suits HR teams, office managers and conference organisers who want a structured, energetic activity without running it themselves.

Pricing

Prices are not published on the website. Activities are priced in brackets based on group size, location and format, and a proposal with full pricing is sent after you enquire. A non-refundable 20% deposit secures the booking, the balance is due three days before the event, and returning clients receive a 10% loyalty discount. Pricing depends on the date, guest numbers and inclusions — enquire for a quote.

How We Work

It starts with an enquiry giving your preferred date, rough numbers, location, budget and goals. The team replies with a proposal recommending activities, with pricing, duration, what is included, and help finding a venue if you need one. Once you choose, there is a Microsoft Teams call to tailor the event: challenges and questions about your business, start and finish points, timing, team sizes, difficulty, and any catering or extras. You also get a dedicated event webpage with a countdown and the details your staff need. On the day, hosts in purple shirts arrive early to set up, brief the group, and handle scoring, timing and equipment. Photos go up on your event page afterwards. Changes to numbers must be made at least 48 hours before the event.

How much does it cost and how do we book?

Prices are not published. They are set in brackets according to group size, location and format, and you receive a proposal with full pricing after enquiring. A 20% deposit, which is non-refundable, locks in the date, and the balance is due three days before the event. Returning clients get 10% off.

What if the weather turns bad?

You can move the event to another date or switch to one of the indoor activities. If an indoor event has to change venue at short notice, a venue sourcing fee applies, and the client covers the cost of any replacement venue.
