About Sydney Projector Hire
Sydney Projector Hire has been renting projection gear out of a warehouse in Auburn since 2011. The range covers portable projectors from an entry-level SVGA model through to a 6,200-lumen Full HD unit and a short-throw projector that throws a 100-inch picture from 1.6 metres away, plus pull-up and tripod screens from 80 to 150 inches. Their event gallery runs from an 80th birthday and a church centenary to weddings at the QVB Tearoom and Denham Court, restaurant film nights and corporate dinners. For most parties the bundles are the simplest option. The entry package pairs an HD projector with an 80-inch screen, a step up brings a brighter 3LCD projector and a 100-inch screen, and the Birthday Package adds a PA speaker so the slideshow has sound. The Wedding Package includes a Full HD projector, a 100-inch screen and the team delivering, setting up and collecting it all. Extras such as long HDMI cables, splitters, a height-adjustable projector stand, handheld, wireless and lapel microphones, and 600 or 1,000 watt speakers can be added to any order. Booking is done by phone with Lida, and nothing is paid until the gear is picked up or dropped off. Hires run for at least 24 hours, and a Friday-to-Sunday weekend hire is charged as a single day. You can collect from Percy Street in Auburn after calling ahead, where the team shows you how to connect it, or book delivery and pickup at a flat fee within 30 kilometres. Phone help with set-up is available, and on-site set-up can be quoted.

What is the cheapest projector and screen package?
The HD Projector and 80-inch Screen Package is $120 for a 24-hour hire. A brighter 3LCD projector with a 100-inch screen is $160, and the Full HD Package is $240.
Is there a package for a birthday party with sound?
Yes. The Birthday Package at $200 includes a data projector, a 100-inch screen and a PA speaker, which suits photo slideshows and speeches. Microphones can be added from $10.
Do they deliver, or do I collect the gear?
Either. You can collect from the warehouse at 5 Percy Street, Auburn (call before visiting), or book delivery and pickup at a flat $60 within 30km. The Wedding and Corporate packages include delivery and set-up.
Do I need to pay a deposit or bond?
There is no cash deposit. They take a credit card and a driver's licence as security, and the card is only charged if equipment is lost, stolen or damaged. Payment is made when you collect or receive the gear.
How long is a hire, and can I cancel?
Projectors go out for a minimum of 24 hours, and a Friday-to-Sunday weekend hire is charged as one day. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the hire date avoids any charge.
