About Party Hire World

Party Hire World is a south-west Sydney party equipment hire business, trading under that name since 2016 and taking bookings on a 1300 line rather than from a shopfront. The marquee line is short and priced openly: a 3m x 3m pop-up at $149, a 3m x 6m at $199, a 6m x 6m at $549 and a 6m x 9m at $729. Job photos on the site show those marquees walled and weighted in a backyard, in an industrial car park and in the city for a United Nations Association event, which gives a fair picture of what the gear looks like once it is up. Around the marquees sits a broad general hire list meant to cover a whole party from one supplier. Seating runs from white plastic stackables at $2.50 through gladiator chairs to Tiffany chairs and bar stools, with trestle and round tables, table linen, carpet runners, bollards and rope, and a dance floor. The audio and lighting side takes in speakers, party lights, effect and dry ice machines, a stage, and TV and projector hire. Food and fun equipment covers slushie, popcorn, fairy floss and chocolate fountain machines and a candy bar buffet, and there is a wedding and bridal section as well. Hire is overnight as standard, with longer periods available for an additional fee, and a minimum order value of $150 applies to the hire subtotal on every booking. Delivery and collection run six days a week excluding public holidays, with Sunday sometimes available. The driver calls ahead, an adult needs to be there to sign, and items can be left in a back yard or behind an unlocked side gate if that is arranged in advance. Bookings open six months out from the event date.

Equipment & Service Details

Hire is overnight as standard unless another period is agreed, and longer hire periods are available for an additional fee. Delivery and collection run six days a week excluding public holidays, with a Sunday service sometimes available, and equipment often arrives well before the event or even the day beforehand so there is time to set up. The driver calls ahead with a rough arrival time, and an adult needs to be present to sign for the items on delivery and again at collection. With prior permission, items can be left in a back yard or behind an unlocked side gate, but nothing is left at the front of a property or in public view. Additional charges apply where equipment has to be carried a distance from the vehicle, taken up or down stairs, moved by lift, or delivered at a specific time, and those conditions need to be disclosed at booking. A refundable security bond is charged separately from the hire, and the company carries $10 million public liability insurance.

Frequently asked questions

What does a marquee cost?

Pop-up marquees are listed on the site at $149 for a 3m x 3m, $199 for a 3m x 6m, $549 for a 6m x 6m and $729 for a 6m x 9m. Delivery, labour, any setup or pack-down and a refundable security bond sit on top of those figures, and a minimum order value of $150 applies to the hire subtotal on every booking.

How long do I get the equipment for?

The standard hire period is overnight unless something else is agreed. Longer hire periods are available and may attract an additional hire fee. Over public holiday periods the delivery and collection window varies, and the length of time the equipment stays with you is confirmed at the time of booking.

How far ahead can I book?

Bookings open six months out from the event date, and enquiries further ahead than that may not get a quote, so the six-month window is the one to work in. Adding items to the cart sends an enquiry rather than locking anything in, and stock is only confirmed once the team comes back by phone or email.

Do they deliver across Sydney?

Yes, delivery and collection cover Sydney, whether the event is at a house, a local hall or a wedding venue. The service runs six days a week excluding public holidays, and Sunday may be available. Extra charges can apply where the drop is a long carry from the vehicle, involves stairs or a lift, or needs to happen at a specific time.

What happens on the day of delivery?

The team calls before arriving with a rough time, and asks that an adult be on site to sign that the right items and quantities have arrived, then again at collection. If nobody can be there, the driver can leave items in a back yard or behind a side gate with permission arranged at booking, but nothing is left in the open or behind a locked gate.
