About Dust & Salt Photography
Dust & Salt Photography is the work of Lachy, a wedding photographer based on the Mornington Peninsula. His style is relaxed and observational: he keeps couples at ease and watches for the quiet interactions between family and friends, alongside the obvious moments of the day. Light drives much of the look. Lachy plans portraits around the softest, most flattering light of the day and composes frames that flatter the couple without pulling them out of the celebration. As well as digital cameras, he brings 35mm and medium format film cameras, some of them dating back to the 1950s. Couples who want a nostalgic, analogue feel get a share of film frames mixed in with the digital gallery. The service goes beyond the camera. Lachy helps couples sketch out the timeline for the day and can point them towards other suppliers to complete their team. He takes on a limited number of weddings each year, so couples deal with him directly from the first enquiry onwards. Dust & Salt is an inclusive business and welcomes every couple. Elopements are covered as well as full weddings, from beach ceremonies to estate and winery receptions.
