About Be Here Be Now
Be Here Be Now is the wedding photography and film business of Christian and Shani, a married couple who met in high school. Couples who knew the earlier business, Christian Marc Photography, will recognise the photographer behind the camera. Christian handles the photography and Shani creates the films. You can book photography on its own, and Shani still comes along to assist on days she isn't filming. Coverage is offered as a full day rather than a choice of short packages, which keeps the timeline relaxed. Extra hours can be quoted when a day runs long, such as an early religious ceremony with a gap before the reception or extra ceremonies like a tea ceremony. Expect somewhere around 600 to 800 edited images, delivered without watermarks and free to print. The pair limit themselves to a set number of weddings each year so each couple gets their full attention. Their galleries move between candid ceremony moments, bridal parties letting loose and evening receptions under festoon lights, with plenty of Red Hill and coastal settings along the way. Same-sex couples are warmly welcomed. The first step is a chat over coffee or a video call to talk through your plans; send an enquiry to book.

Can we book photography without the film?
No. Photography can be booked on its own, and Shani still joins Christian as an assistant on days when she isn't filming.
How long is the coverage on the day?
The pair only offer full-day coverage so couples don't have to choose between packages. Longer days, such as those with an early religious ceremony or a tea ceremony, can be quoted for extra hours.
How many photos will we receive?
Couples can expect roughly 600 to 800 images. None are watermarked, and they are handed over for you to print.
What is included in a wedding film?
The film offer covers the day alongside the photography, a short music film with a licensed track, and a separate edit of the ceremony and speeches with audio. Raw clips from the day are included as well.
Do you photograph same-sex weddings?
Yes, and enthusiastically. The couple say they look forward to the day when the question no longer needs answering.
