About Salt & Soul Photography and Film
Salt & Soul Photography and Film is Sarah and Aaron, a married couple based on the Mornington Peninsula who photograph and film weddings and elopements. Their approach is documentary rather than directed: they keep posing to a minimum and spend the day recording what actually happens. That means the nervous moments before the ceremony, the reactions during the vows, the speeches and the late-night dancing. For portraits they give couples gentle prompts to walk, talk or laugh together rather than holding them in set poses, so the pictures feel like the day did. Photography and film can be booked separately or as a pair. Photo packages run from four to eight hours of coverage, with a full online gallery and slideshow delivered within three to five weeks and a handful of sneak peeks within a day. Film packages include a highlight film and a full ceremony film, recorded with dedicated audio gear so vows and speeches come through clearly. For smaller celebrations, the duo has teamed up with celebrant Maddi of Married by Maddi on all-inclusive elopement and micro wedding packages. These cover the legal ceremony and paperwork, an hour or more of photography and video, a highlight film and a slideshow, and range from a private ceremony for two to a styled celebration for up to 30 guests. The couple also help with planning the timeline of the day and run sheets before the wedding. They suit couples planning something laid-back – a beach ceremony, a vineyard reception, a backyard party or a quiet clifftop elopement.

All-inclusive elopement packages with a celebrant are $1700 for a private ceremony, $1990 for up to 10 guests, $2490 for a micro wedding of up to 30 guests and $2990 for a styled elopement. Council or Parks permits are not included.
Service Details
Film coverage runs for the same lengths and includes a highlight film and a full ceremony film, with speeches added for full-day bookings, delivered in four to eight weeks. Elopement packages give one to three hours of combined photo and video coverage alongside a legal ceremony.

Do Salt & Soul offer both photography and video?
Yes. Sarah and Aaron offer wedding photography and wedding films, and couples can book either one or both together. Booking photo and video as a pair is discounted on their pricing page.
How long does it take to receive the wedding photos?
The full online gallery and slideshow arrive within three to five weeks of the wedding, with roughly 50 to 70 images for each hour of coverage. A few sneak peeks are sent within 24 hours.
What is included in a Salt & Soul wedding film?
Every film package includes a highlight film and a full ceremony film, and full-day coverage adds the speeches as a separate film. Films are delivered within four to eight weeks through a personalised TV and phone app.
