Wedding DJ Melbourne is an agency based in Melbourne that supplies DJs, MCs and singers to weddings and nothing else, and its packages include travel to the Mornington Peninsula. That makes it a straightforward fit for a winery, coastal or garden reception on the Peninsula. Nobody joins the roster without five years of wedding gigs, and nearly all have more than ten. On the books are singers Katty Liz, Paul Rawk and Mitch Fontaine, MC Peter Mystikos, and DJ/MCs Ben Curcio and Ari Touron; a few of them double on guitar or take over the decks as the night goes on. Musically, sets can take in rock, country, house, hip hop and R&B, early-2000s tracks, 80s and 90s classics and new releases. Planning starts well before the day with music-selection sessions. Lee Cassidy, who owns the agency and manages its talent, brings nearly two decades of wedding experience and can work through the run sheet with you on a video call, while on the night the DJ looks after entries, the first dance and the shifts between genres. There are six packages, from a DJ with sound equipment up to a three-performer line-up with a singer, DJ and dedicated MC. Additional hours, more equipment or ceremony music can add to the cost. Is travel to a Mornington Peninsula wedding included?
Yes. Each of the six packages lists travel to the Mornington Peninsula as an inclusion. Extra hours or additional equipment beyond the package can still change the final price.
What comes with the $950 package?
Sound equipment hired and set up for you, sessions to plan and select the music, and up to five hours of DJing. More DJ hours can be added, and basic MC duties are available for an extra cost.
Is live music available while guests have pre-dinner drinks?
Yes. An acoustic singer plays three 40-minute sets across drinks, canapes and entrees, either as a standalone booking or inside the Singer & DJ and The Works packages.
How experienced are the performers?
The agency will not take on anyone with under five years of wedding performances, and nearly the whole roster has more than a decade of receptions behind them.
