About Party DJ Hire
Party DJ Hire is a DJ booking agency based in Melbourne, and its mobile DJs have been playing weddings, birthdays and functions on the Mornington Peninsula for more than ten years. Book one for a winery reception, a beach-house birthday or an end-of-year work party, and the DJ turns up with the whole setup. That setup covers decks, party speakers, laser lighting and a microphone for toasts, with a smoke machine if you ask for one. You provide a table and access to power; the DJs carry extension leads, so the outlet does not have to be right next to them. Crowds of more than 150 can call for a subwoofer and extra lights. The roster mixes styles. DJ Minogue's sets draw on disco, funk and soul alongside hip hop and old-school R&B, Danny Dobs brings EDM, nu-disco and pop party tracks, and Matt Carlson handles many of the agency's school formals and 21sts with recent hits. Greek weddings are covered, as are Bollywood, Punjabi and Indian celebrations, and you can send a list of songs you want and songs to avoid. An enquiry brings back a written quote with its inclusions inside 24 hours, and the DJ calls the day before to run through the plan. Wedding couples can add an MC to manage announcements and speeches, and photo booths, confetti, CO2 cannons, dry ice and indoor pyrotechnics are available as extras. To get a price, send an enquiry listing the date, the venue and roughly how many guests are coming.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a Party DJ Hire DJ cost on the Mornington Peninsula?
There is no published price list. Every Peninsula booking is quoted separately, as the cost depends on how long the set runs, the gear needed, the day of the week and the distance to the venue. Quotes with inclusions come back within 24 hours.
What does the host need to supply?
Just a table – a trestle works – and somewhere to plug in. The DJs bring their own extension leads, so the power does not need to be right beside where they set up.
Can the DJ handle a large wedding at a Peninsula winery?
Yes. The standard kit is decks, speakers, laser lighting and a microphone, and for crowds above 150 guests the agency may suggest a subwoofer and extra lighting so the room is properly covered.
How is a booking paid for?
Half the fee secures the date and falls due three days after the contract is signed, with the remainder paid 14 days before the event. Bank transfer is accepted, and paying by credit card adds a 1.9% surcharge.
Can I hire just the speakers and lights?
No. The sound and lighting gear only comes with a booked DJ, who sets it all up on arrival and takes it away again once the music finishes.
