About Amanda Morgan Celebrant
Amanda Morgan is an authorised civil marriage celebrant who grew up on the Mornington Peninsula. Before taking up celebrancy she spent decades in fashion and design and in aged and palliative care, and she brings that eye for detail and calm presence to each wedding. Every ceremony she leads is written from scratch. She gets to know both partners first, then builds the script around their story, their sense of humour and any readings, rituals or cultural traditions they want included. She can also help couples who are stuck on their own vows. The process starts with a short phone call, then a 45-minute sit-down with the two of you together. In the final days before the wedding, a rehearsal covers the legal paperwork, music cues and timing. On the day, Amanda gets there around 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony and is with you for close to two hours, coordinating with the photographer and venue so nothing feels rushed. Her local knowledge helps with the practical side too – tide times for beach ceremonies, wind on clifftops and venues that need a wet-weather plan. Amanda is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes couples of every faith and background. Small elopements get the same personal approach as large vineyard weddings.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Amanda charge for a wedding ceremony?
Her standard wedding fee is $715. It covers the first phone call, an in-person meeting, the rehearsal and her attendance on the day, and any extras are agreed with you upfront.
Can Amanda legally marry us?
Yes. Amanda is an authorised civil celebrant, so she handles the legal requirements and paperwork. The legal papers must be signed at least 30 days before the wedding, so it pays to contact her early.
Does she write a new ceremony for each couple?
Yes. Every script is written from a blank page after she has met you both, built around your story, the tone you want and any readings or rituals you choose. She can also help you write your vows.
Which parts of the Mornington Peninsula does she cover?
Amanda conducts ceremonies right across the Peninsula, from Frankston, Mount Eliza and Mornington through Mount Martha and Red Hill to Sorrento, Blairgowrie and Flinders, at beaches, vineyards, gardens and private homes.
Does Amanda run a rehearsal?
Yes. In the last few days before the wedding, an hour-long rehearsal goes through the paperwork, music cues, timing and where everyone stands, and it is included in her standard fee.
