About Village Green Hotel
The Village Green Hotel sits where Springvale Road meets Ferntree Gully Road in Mulgrave. It is a big suburban pub with a sports bar, a central bar and grill, a buffet restaurant called Feast and a live entertainment room, plus two function rooms with their own entrances and bars. Parking on site is free. The Cabaret Room is the main event space. It has classic chandeliers, a large dance floor, adjustable lighting, a separate entry and a fully stocked bar, and holds up to 500 guests cocktail-style, 220 seated at tables, 350 theatre-style or 160 in cabaret layout. AV includes Bluetooth audio, microphones and a projector. The Copper Fox is the smaller option, taking 100 standing or 60 seated, with its own bar, a projector and screen and nearby bathrooms. Both rooms can be dressed with the venue's table decorations, chair covers and coloured sashes. Catering leans towards hot buffets. Buffet Menu 1 offers a two-meat carvery, hot dishes, salads and dessert for $45 per adult, and Buffet Menu 2 adds a bread basket and extra choices for $55, both for groups of 40 or more. Platters, a cocktail on arrival, a tea and coffee station, cake cutting and a digital photo booth can be added. The functions team can also pass on contacts for stylists, cake makers and DJs.
