About The Garden Feast
The Garden Feast is a family-run nursery and cafe on Railway Avenue in Werribee that the Simpson family has run since 1972. It trades as a cafe during the day and becomes a private function venue in the evening. The function space is a rustic shed within the nursery grounds, with metal beams hung with indoor plants, a cathedral ceiling and an upturned branch strung with fairy lights. Outside, a terrace is lit with festoon lights and ringed by plants. Evening functions take 60 to 120 guests with the venue to yourselves, and run for four hours from 6pm at the earliest. During the day, groups of up to 60 can hold a function alongside cafe service, with semi-exclusive areas available. Food is cooked from scratch by the kitchen team, from finger food and canapés to two or three course dinners. The signature is the feasting buffet, laid out down a central table so guests serve themselves, and high teas and a bubbly brunch suit daytime events. Drinks run as a four-hour package, a tab settled at the end of the night or a cash bar. You can bring a band, DJ or decorations with the functions manager's approval, and there's a projector, screen and microphone to hire.
