About Sandringham Hotel
The Sandringham Hotel, known to locals as The Sandy, stands on the corner of Beach Road and Bay Road in Sandringham, opposite the Sandringham Gardens and the foreshore of Port Phillip Bay. It is a full pub with a Front Bar for watching sport, the Grillhouse dining room, an outdoor deck and ten accommodation rooms upstairs. There are four spaces for functions. The Front Bar takes cocktail parties of up to 200 on Saturday evenings and all day Sunday; it has a private entrance, its own bar, TV screens that take a USB, a sound system and a smoking balcony. The Port Phillip Room is a semi-private dining room for 25 to 50 seated or 30 to 60 standing, and doubles as a conference room with AV. The Deck is an all-weather outdoor area with heaters, clear blinds and a portable bar, holding up to 60, or 20 to 30 if you book half. The Cocktail Lounge is a casual lounge corner of the Grillhouse for up to 30. Food ranges from canapés in the lounge to set menus in the Port Phillip Room, and the events team tailors the offer to each booking. Drinks packages are built around three hours: $40 per person for tap beer, sparkling and house wine, or $50 per person for a wider list, with each extra hour at $10 per person and house spirits an extra $15 per person. Minimum spends apply in the Front Bar, on the Deck and in the Port Phillip Room from Friday to Sunday. The pub hosts birthdays, engagement parties, work break-ups, corporate events and weddings.
