About Lakeside Banquet & Convention Centre
Lakeside Banquet & Convention Centre is a family-run reception venue on the Melton Highway in Taylors Lakes, operating since 1986. It looks over a small lake and gardens, has complimentary on-site parking, and hosts weddings, corporate events, school functions and family celebrations, with its own wedding planners and event coordinators. The Lakeview Ballroom is the main room, taking 230 to 650 guests, with a double staircase entrance, a large open dance floor and a generous foyer. The Victoria Room seats 130 to 270 under chandeliers, with a winding staircase and views over the garden and lake. The Wellington Room suits 60 to 170 guests and has a private entrance, a foyer with a gas fireplace, a dance floor with stage lighting, a band stage and a balcony facing the lake. Outside, the garden has gazebos and fountains and can take up to 100 guests for ceremonies or outdoor functions. For birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and reunions, the Family Night package covers hot canapés on arrival, a pre-entrée platter, a three-course meal, unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks, a DJ and an MC, with no minimum guest number. Wedding, function and seminar menus are also offered, from cocktail food to plated courses and halal options, and room-hire bookings can bring in a registered outside caterer. Décor such as Tiffany chairs and centrepieces can be arranged.

The Family Night package is $90 per adult on Saturdays and $85 per adult on Sundays, and $61 per child. A $500 deposit confirms the booking.
What does the Family Night package include?
Hot canapés and drinks on arrival, a pre-entrée platter, entrée, main and a dessert trio, tea and coffee served with your cake, unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks, plus a DJ and an MC.
How many guests do the function rooms hold?
The Lakeview Ballroom takes 230 to 650 guests, the Victoria Room 130 to 270, the Wellington Room 60 to 170, and the outdoor garden up to 100.
Does Lakeside host school formals?
Yes. Student formals, graduations, valedictory dinners, debutante balls, presentation nights and parents and friends dinner dances are all hosted here.
Can we hire a room and bring our own caterer?
Room-hire bookings are available, and outside catering is allowed if it comes from a registered business with public liability insurance and food safety certificates.
