About Italian Sports Club of Werribee
The Italian Sports Club of Werribee is a community club at 601 Heaths Road, Werribee, set on several acres of grounds facing the Werribee River. Started by Italian migrants in 1971, it now runs a restaurant, a members' bar, squash courts and four function rooms open to private hire. The Sala Roma is the main ballroom, with a full bar, parquetry dance floor, modular stage, ceiling projector and screen. It seats from 80 to 300 guests for a set menu, or takes up to 400 for a cocktail event. The Members Bar opens onto a private alfresco and garden area with its own bar, taking 50 to 150 guests for cocktail or barbecue parties. The Peacock Room suits 30 to 60 seated, and the President's Room seats 25 for meetings and small lunches. Sit-down packages include alternating entrées, mains and desserts, tea and coffee, linen, a cordless microphone and waiting staff. Cocktail packages start with a grazing table followed by a set number of hot and cold platters, and barbecue packages put a cook on the grill for birthdays and casual gatherings. Drinks come from the club's licensed bar, either as beverage packages charged per guest or as a bar tab. Dinners run for five hours and lunches for four, and a security guard is assigned to each function room. The club has a private car park with more than 200 spaces and wheelchair access throughout. Cocktail packages are fixed totals that serve as the minimum spend: $2,150 for 50 guests, $3,250 for 100, $4,100 for 150 and $4,650 for 200, plus any bar tab. Wedding packages start at $85 per person.
For daytime and corporate use, a full-day delegate package is $40 per person and a half day is $30. Surcharges may apply on Sundays and public holidays.
Food
Cocktail functions begin with a grazing table of cured meats, cheeses, fruit, dips and breads, followed by platters like arancini, mini pizzas, party pies and satay skewers. Barbecue packages cover steaks, burgers, sausages, chicken skewers and salads.
Beverages
Cocktail and barbecue functions can run a bar tab instead.

How much do function packages cost?
Barbecue packages start at $39 per person, rising to $49 and $59. Sit-down dinners start at $58 per person in the Peacock Room and $62 in the Sala Roma, with Deluxe at $65 and Premium at $82. Cocktail packages are set totals that act as the minimum spend: $2,150 for 50 guests in the Members Bar or Peacock Room, and $3,250 for 100 guests in the Sala Roma, plus any bar tab.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
The Sala Roma needs at least 80 guests on a Saturday night. Smaller groups can book it on Fridays and Sundays, and surcharges may apply on Sundays and public holidays.
What drinks options are there?
Beverage packages are charged per guest: $10 for soft drinks and juice, $24 for the Deluxe package with wine and tap beer, and $33 for the Premium package, which adds sparkling for toasts, mineral water and espresso. Cocktail functions can run a bar tab instead.
Can we bring a band or DJ?
Yes. The Sala Roma has a modular stage and three-phase power for bands and DJs, along with cordless microphones and a lectern. The club also keeps a list of preferred bands and decorators.
