About Melbourne Fairy Parties
Melbourne Fairy Parties is a children's entertainment business run by Laura, a pre-service teacher who also manages outside school hours care. Her team of costumed characters covers fairies, princesses, unicorns and superheroes, and every entertainer is insured and carries a Working with Children Check. The packages are built around a visiting character and scale by length. The Meet and Greet runs for 30 minutes with a short themed magic show, parachute fun, bubbles, dancing and a cake celebration. The Mini Groovers and Standard Groovers run for one hour and an hour and a half, adding party games such as musical statues, limbo and pass the parcel, a character singalong, and a choice of face painting, superhero tattoos or balloon twisting. Before every party the birthday child receives a special letter, and on the day they get a themed present while each guest takes home a prize. For older or livelier groups, the Disco Groovers package sets up disco lights plus bubble and smoke effects, with games like a dance off and a lip sync battle and glow sticks to take home. Superhero parties come in one, one-and-a-half and two-hour versions with a superhero training course. A three-hour event package with two characters, face painting and activity stations suits larger gatherings of up to 35 children. Face painting is also available on its own, with up to 20 faces painted in the first hour. Extras across the range include glitter gems, a piñata and professional photography. Full payment is taken at booking, and a card processing fee of 2.2% is added.
