About MV Pearl

MV Pearl is a privately chartered 80-foot motor yacht berthed in Victoria Harbour at Docklands, a short walk from Marvel Stadium. It has run luxury charters on Melbourne's waterways since 2010, and the same family operates the Quat Quatta wedding venue, so the hospitality side is run by a team with decades of event catering behind it. The yacht takes anything from two guests up to 67. The main deck mixes sun beds, alfresco dining, a saloon and a marble dining table, while the Sky Deck upstairs has an oak table seating 10, its own serviced bar, day beds and a flat screen that drops down for sport or presentations. Cruises head down the Yarra to Williamstown and out onto Port Phillip Bay, keeping to calm water. Every charter has a chef on board, and menus change with the seasons. Groups can choose a cocktail-style menu, a seafood buffet that starts with canapés and finishes with roving desserts, or formal dining for up to 18 on one banquet table or 36 across three. Bar staff serve boutique beers, French Champagne and a personalised drinks list. Charters run for a minimum of four hours, usually an afternoon slot around midday to 4pm or an evening slot around 6pm to 10pm, and longer bookings are possible. The event coordinators help with menus, cocktails, decorations and sourcing a DJ or a band of up to three players. MV Pearl is booked for Christmas parties, corporate entertaining, weddings, hens and bucks celebrations, engagements, anniversaries and birthdays.

MV Pearl does not publish prices; each charter is quoted after an enquiry, and the team sends a brochure with current options. A 25% deposit secures the date, and charters have a four-hour minimum.

Food

A chef works on board every charter, cooking a seasonal menu developed by the team behind Quat Quatta. Options include a cocktail-style menu, canapés followed by a seafood buffet and roving desserts, or formal dining for up to 18 at one table or 36 over three. All dietary requirements are catered for.

Beverages

Experienced bar staff serve boutique beers, French Champagne and a personalised drinks list, with a partnership with Champagne house G.H. Mumm providing French bubbles on every charter. The event coordinators can also design boutique cocktails for the occasion, and the Sky Deck has its own serviced bar.

Guests board in Victoria Harbour, Docklands, close to Marvel Stadium. The yacht cruises down the Yarra River to Williamstown and onto Port Phillip Bay in calm water.
