About Magic Charters
Magic Charters runs private and ticketed cruises from Docklands on Kingfisher II, a twin-level catamaran that takes up to 150 guests. Private bookings need at least 40 guests, and the whole boat is yours for the event, with covered indoor space and outdoor decks so the cruise goes ahead in most weather. Every private charter comes with a captain and crew, a fully licensed bar run by RSA-certified staff, surround sound, a PA and microphone, and onboard toilets. The boat can be set for a seated meal or left open for a cocktail-style party with room to dance, and a large screen can be arranged for slideshows or presentations. Routes take in Docklands, the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay. Catering ranges from canapés and finger food to grazing tables, the Captain's Buffet, or the Commodore's three-course dinner, and most dietary needs are covered, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. Drinks run as an open bar of beer, wine, sparkling and soft drinks, with cocktails and spirits as an add-on, or as a tab or cash bar. Groups can also bring their own catering. The team plans birthdays and milestone parties, weddings and engagements with a dedicated consultant handling décor and transfers, plus corporate events from Christmas parties to client nights and team days. Entertainment can be added, including a DJ, live music, a magician or comedian, a casino night or a murder mystery. An online calculator gives an estimate before a coordinator confirms the quote, and boat inspections can be booked.
