About Boat4Hire
Boat4Hire has been running boats out of Docklands since 2007, starting with fishing boat hire and growing into party cruising, skippered yacht charters and boat training. It trades from 84 New Quay Promenade and takes groups out on the Yarra River, Victoria Harbour and Port Phillip Bay. For private parties, the skippered charters are the main event. Voodoo suits groups of up to 12 with a roomy layout and a quality sound system, while HQ takes up to 24 for a more relaxed cruise with drinks. A qualified skipper is included, so nobody in the group needs a licence, and the boats are set up for all-weather cruising. Groups can bring their own drinks and food or ask about catering, and plan a two-hour cruise, a three-hour party run or an evening trip under the city lights before a night out. Smaller groups can take the wheel themselves on a Spaceship, a flat-floored pontoon for up to 12 with lounge seating, two picnic tables, a Bluetooth stereo, sun and rain covers and an optional BBQ. No boat licence is required, fuel is included in the two-hour package, and a four-hour hire leaves time to anchor off St Kilda beach for a barbecue and a swim. Every group gets a safety briefing before leaving the dock, and the team is open seven days from 8.30am to 8.30pm. Occasions they cater for include birthdays and 21sts, hens and bucks parties, baby showers, catch-ups and proposal cruises.
