About Jungle Audio
Jungle Audio is a sound and lighting hire business in Clifton Hill, about 6km from the CBD, started by Alec Lutrov after more than a decade spinning records in clubs and at private parties. It handles everything from a single speaker for a backyard birthday to full production for festivals, with a young crew that works alongside DJs, bands and performers. The hire list is published with prices. Bluetooth party speakers such as the Bose S1 Pro+ and Soundboks sit at the small end, then Yamaha and QSC speaker packs, small, large and extra-large QSC rigs with subs, and Funktion-One systems for serious volume. DJ gear includes the Pioneer XDJ-RX3, CDJ 3000s and DJM mixers and Technics turntables, and lighting covers par cans, light bars, moving heads, lasers, smoke and haze machines, truss totems and DJ tables. Most people collect from Clifton Hill, often the Thursday afternoon before a weekend event, and return early the next week. Every hire comes with a setup manual written for beginners, and the team will walk you through problems over the phone at no charge. Delivery and pick-up, plus setup and pack-down, are available for an extra fee depending on location and equipment. For bigger events, the production side supplies full PA systems, lighting design, staging and crew from bump-in to pack-down.
