About Club Singleton

Club Singleton is the town's bowling club, set at 33 William Street in the centre of Singleton. Beyond its bowling greens it runs a seven-day Thai restaurant, a café with gelato and a bar, and it hires out its rooms for private functions – birthdays, engagement parties, weddings, presentation dinners and work events – with a dedicated functions coordinator handling the planning. There are three rooms to choose from. The auditorium is the main party space, fitted with a stage, a dance floor, TVs, a projector and a sound system you can plug a playlist into, and it holds up to 180 people. The function room takes about 60 and suits smaller celebrations or training days, while a conference room seats 12. Open the auditorium and function room together and the club can seat up to 260. For something more casual, the greens can be booked for barefoot bowls at $5 a head. All food comes from the club kitchen, as outside catering is not permitted (a birthday or wedding cake is the exception). Menus range from canapé platters and a gourmet canapé selection to buffets, classic roasts and three tiers of plated celebration packages, most with a 30-guest minimum. Drinks are bought from the club bar, either on a set bar tab or on consumption, and the bar account is settled when the function wraps up. Room hire is charged per booking, and final numbers are due a week out.
