About Adams Peak Country Estate
Adams Peak Country Estate is a private property on Adams Peak Road at Broke, in the Hunter Valley, set up purely for weddings. Each booking takes over the whole estate, so the ceremony, pre-dinner drinks, reception and the next morning all happen in one place, and the wedding party stays on site across two nights in The House (eight ensuite rooms sleeping 20) and The Retreat, a two-bedroom cabin for four. Ceremonies are held on The Lawn, looking out across the valley to the ranges, or in the open-air Hay Shed, with a covered fallback called The Plan B for wet days. After the vows, guests move to The Hill and The Shack bar for lawn games and drinks. The reception is in The Barn, a rustic, air-conditioned timber building with a fireplace, hanging vintage ladders and a dance floor, seating up to 150. Couples who prefer a cocktail-style night can use the Hay Shed instead. Food comes only from the estate's exclusive caterer, Monkey Place Catering, which offers BBQ buffets, plated dinners, shared platters or cocktail menus, with chefs, wait staff, linen and crockery included. The bar runs either as a Hunter Bar Package from $60 per person for six hours of service, or as BYO with the estate's RSA staff, glassware and ice, plus a cool room for $300. A PA with microphones, a projector and screen, tables and 150 chairs are part of the package, a wedding coordinator is on site on the day, and the night wraps up by 11pm.
