About Weston Workers Club
Weston Workers Club is the local club on Government Road in Weston, trading since 1948 with a bistro, lounges, live music and raffles. Its events team runs private functions across several rooms, from milestone birthdays to weddings and anniversaries. Big events go in the auditorium, which seats up to 300. It has a stage for bands or speeches, a private bar, a projector with a 4m screen, a microphone and lectern, a sound system and a big dance floor. For mid-sized groups, the restaurant area holds up to 70 and comes with a large screen, microphone and background music; the club offers it for exclusive use once minimum numbers are met. The main lounge and the sports lounge each suit around 50 guests and are shared spaces beside the bar, with no room charge. The kitchen covers both casual and seated events. Platters serve roughly ten people each – hot finger food, grazing boards, sandwiches, desserts, fruit, and scones with jam and cream. Seated meals can go out banquet style or as an alternate drop, with two or three courses chosen from chef selections or a custom menu. Drinks can run as a cash bar or a prepaid bar tab, open to every guest or only some, and covering the full bar, a limited range or soft drinks only. Barista coffee and a tea and coffee station can be added, and large lawn games such as giant Jenga and cornhole are available for hire. Bookings are confirmed in writing with a deposit, and menus, timings and room setup are settled with the events coordinator two weeks before the day.
