About Bedroom Studio
Bedroom Studio is run by Chris and Casey, a married couple who photograph and film weddings throughout the Hunter Valley. Chris has shot more than a thousand weddings and leads the camera team, while Casey handles the couples, their questions and the planning side. The name comes from the first video business Chris ran as a teenager out of a studio flat. The studio blends candid documentary coverage with more polished editorial portraits, and it works across both digital and analogue formats. Couples can book photography alone, a cinema package, or a combo where photographers and filmmakers work side by side. On top of that sit the extras that give the work its character: 35mm film stills delivered as prints and scans, an 8mm film reel, and grainy camcorder footage with a home-video feel. The real weddings on the site lean heavily on the Hunter. There are galleries and films from Peterson House, Squire's Vineyard, Hunter Valley Gardens and Kirkton Park, Peppers Creek, Oaks Cypress Lakes with portraits among the vines at Tamburlaine, an intimate elopement-style day at Marlu Station, a bohemian Thursday wedding on a Palmers Lane property, and a chapel ceremony at Lovedale. A dedicated production coordinator stays with each couple from booking to delivery, helping with timelines and working alongside any planner. Footage and images are protected by dual-slot cameras and several separate backups before the final edits go out.

Does Bedroom Studio film weddings as well as photograph them?
Yes. There are photography packages, cinematography packages and combo packages where the photo and film crew work together. Film extras include full ceremony, speeches and dancing edits, aerial footage, an 8mm film add-on and retro camcorder video.
How much does Bedroom Studio charge for wedding photography?
The Hunter Valley photography packages start at $1999 for five hours with one photographer, then $2999 for eight hours and $3999 for ten hours with a pre-wedding couples shoot. All listed prices include GST.
How many photos will we receive?
Full-day coverage returns more than 600 edited images, delivered through a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads.
Can we change the hours in a package?
Yes. Every package can be customised, so you can add or remove coverage at $150 an hour for photography, add a second photographer from $500, or include drone footage, film photography or an album.
Who will shoot our wedding?
Chris still shoots weddings most weekends. Your package decides whether Chris or one of the senior shooters he has trained covers the day, in the studio's style, backed by the in-house editing team.
