About Rope & Pulley
Rope & Pulley is Katy and Matt, a married couple who photograph and film weddings together. Katy, a former art and photography teacher, leads the photography, and Matt works across both stills and film. Their style is relaxed and candid, with minimal posing and natural light, and they are happy to crack a joke when nerves kick in, then fade into the background when a quiet moment needs room. The Hunter Valley is a big part of their work. Their Hunter page lists venues they know well, including Redleaf and The Woodhouse in Wollombi, Bimbadgen Palmers Lane, WhiteVale Estate in Lovedale, Spicers Guesthouse, The Sienna, Circa 1876, GreyStone Estate, Wallalong House, Tocal Homestead, Dolton House at Anambah and Château Élan at The Vintage. They have photographed and filmed more than ten weddings at GreyStone alone. Photography is priced from $4,900 to $6,500 and videography from $4,900 to $6,900. Film packages include a professional videographer, an editor and colourist, a seven to ten minute cinematic film, raw ceremony and speech audio, licensed music and drone footage. The Fusion package puts the photo and video team together for full-day coverage from $8,900, engagement shoots are $700 when booked with a wedding, and albums start from $1,300. Couples get a mini gallery within seven days of the wedding, and films arrive within 10 to 13 weeks. There is no travel charge for weddings within a 1.5-hour drive, with a modest fee beyond that.
