About Ocean Beach Hotel
The Ocean Beach Hotel, known locally as the OB, is a pub on West Street in Umina Beach, a short walk from the beach on the Peninsula. Alongside its bistro, sports bar and a bright beer garden with a wood-fired pizza oven and big screen, it runs three spaces that can be booked for private events, and it also has 15 guest rooms upstairs. The Westview Room is the main function room. It is separated from the rest of the hotel with its own entrance, private bar and toilets, a fairy-light ceiling, air conditioning, a projector and a microphone, and holds 50 standing or 40 seated. The Corner Lounge Bar sits where West Street meets Trafalgar Avenue, a vintage-styled spirits bar with sporting memorabilia, wide street views and two TVs, suited to 30 standing or 20 seated. The Garden Bar is a covered outdoor terrace with its own bar and gas heaters for 50 standing or 40 seated. Each booked space includes four hours of hire, a dedicated bartender, a microphone, a Bluetooth speaker and free wifi. Food comes from a platter menu of pub favourites, from chips and sausage rolls to sliders, skewers, wood-fired pizza and charcuterie. A $750 package for 40 to 50 guests bundles room hire, platters, linen, candles and a tea and coffee station, and you can add a mimosa bar, a candy cart, a DJ or a karaoke host. The events team tailors the rest.

What does it cost to book the Westview Room?
Four hours of room hire is $250 or $350 depending on the day, with extra hours at $50. Minimum spends are $500 Monday to Thursday, $1,000 on Fridays and Sundays and $1,500 on Saturdays.
What food can we order for a party?
Guests eat from a platter menu that includes chips, wedges, pies and sausage rolls, salt and pepper squid, chicken wings, sliders, skewers, arancini, wood-fired pizza, charcuterie, fruit and dessert platters. Most platters serve 20 or 30 pieces.
Is there AV for speeches and music?
Yes. The Westview Room has a projector, TV, microphone and Bluetooth speaker, and the Corner Lounge has two TVs. A professional DJ or a karaoke host with a full sound system can be booked, priced on request.
Is there an all-in package?
Yes. For 40 to 50 guests, a $750 package covers four hours of room hire, a bartender, AV, black or white linen, tealight candles, a tea and coffee station and a spread of platters.

Went to ocean beach pub today for a wake. The staff were so lovely, friendly and very accommodating to everyone’s needs. The set up of the room was nice and secluded so that we had privacy. Food was great!!!
