About Woy Woy Fishermen's Wharf
Woy Woy Fishermen's Wharf is a seafood market, takeaway and restaurant on The Boulevarde in Woy Woy, run by the same family for three generations. The restaurant sits on a wharf built over the water, about five minutes on foot from Woy Woy station. For wedding receptions and Christmas parties the whole restaurant is handed over to your group, so there are no other diners in the room. The space is a purpose-built dining room with tall windows facing the water, a large bar area of its own and outdoor decks where guests can step out. The venue takes up to 120 guests in a cocktail format, and the function package is written around canapé-style receptions rather than seated banquets. Guests arrive along a timber boardwalk, and every event runs for five hours, starting at either noon or 6pm. Food leans on the market downstairs. The canapé package includes fish and chip boxes plus a choice of further items such as peeled prawns, shucked oysters, fish tacos, sashimi spoons, arancini and roast beef sliders, and you can add a seafood paella or an oyster and Bloody Mary station. Drinks come as a package covering the whole event, with a white, a red, a sparkling wine and two beers chosen from the wharf's list, plus soft drinks and sparkling water. The venue is fully licensed, so outside alcohol is not allowed. Events are held Monday to Saturday, with a minimum spend that depends on the day and a $1,000 venue charge that covers exclusive use, staff and basic styling. DJs and bands of up to three players are welcome if they bring their own equipment. Send an enquiry to check dates.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Woy Woy Fishermen's Wharf hold for a function?
The restaurant hosts up to 120 guests for a cocktail-style event. The function package itself is designed for canapé events of up to 100, so larger groups should confirm numbers when they enquire.
What is the minimum spend for an event?
Monday to Thursday events carry a minimum spend of $6,500, rising to $11,000 for Friday and Saturday. During school holidays the Monday to Thursday figure also becomes $11,000. On top of the food and drink packages there is a $1,000 venue charge for exclusive use, staff and basic styling, and a security guard is booked for every event at the host's cost.
What food is served at functions?
Food is served canapé style. The package costs $65 per person and includes fish and chip boxes plus eight more items from a list that covers prawns, oysters, sashimi spoons, fish tacos, squid, skewers, arancini and sliders. Vegetarian and vegan options can be arranged with at least three weeks' notice. Guests with gluten or seafood allergies should note the kitchen handles both every day.
Can we bring our own drinks or cake?
No outside alcohol is permitted, as the wharf is fully licensed and serves a drinks package for $65 per person. The venue does not make celebration cakes, but you can bring one in for a $100 cutting and service fee, or add a gelato dessert for $5 per person.
Can we have a DJ or live band?
Yes, DJs and bands are welcome, but they need to bring all their own equipment as the venue has none for performers. Because of the size of the room and noise limits, a three-piece band including the singer is the most the venue allows.

Very good chippy, grilled snapper turned out pretty great. Complements to the chef, and was funny seeing the Pelicans get there feed.

Great place for fresh and tasty seafood. We had Calamari and S & P Squid. Both were lovely. Good for families, as right next to playground, and we got to watch a staff member feed the pelicans. Would definitely go again…
