About Veranda Indian
Veranda Indian is a kitchen and bar on the corner of Main Street and Civic Way in Rouse Hill. The menu follows the seasons and India's festival calendar, drawing on regional home-style cooking rather than a standard curry-house list, and the restaurant trades every day from lunch through to 9:30pm. Inside is a warm, lamplit dining room with big windows, and outside a leafy terrace wraps the front. The venue can be reserved in stages depending on numbers. Long tables for groups of up to 20 are booked by phone or email. The full outdoor area can be hired for 20 to 40 guests, the whole dining room for 40 to 65, and the entire venue for 65 to 150, giving you the place to yourselves. A minimum spend applies to every event, and you are welcome to bring your own decorations. Function food is built around canapés, grazing tables and set menus rather than buffets. For events of 30 or more there is a canapé list of regional snacks, from Kolkata jhalmuri and papdi chaat to Koliwada prawns, pulled lamb rolls and butter chicken pockets, served as six, eight or ten items, with rice bowls as substantials and desserts like kulfi and kheer brûlée. A pani puri station can be added. Drinks can run as a package, with wine pairings, or as a bar tab with a limit you set and settle at the end. A 10% surcharge applies on weekends and 15% on public holidays. The events team handles enquiries by phone, email or the online form.
