About Tudor Hotel

The Tudor Hotel stands on the corner of Pitt and Redfern Streets in Redfern, a neighbourhood pub that trades seven days and welcomes dogs as readily as their owners. Daily specials, live music and big-screen sport keep the front bars busy, while a back terrace and beer garden give it an easy outdoor side for long afternoons. For functions the pub divides into four areas. The Nook takes about 14 seated or 20 standing for small dinners and drinks. The dining room and bar holds 40 seated or 70 cocktail-style and suits a casual crowd that wants to mingle. The sports booth fits 20 seated or 30 standing for groups who want their own corner without missing the game. The most private choice is the room and terrace, which can be booked exclusively for up to 40 seated or 70 standing, has its own bathrooms, flows between indoors and out and looks down on the beer garden. The pub notes that every capacity shifts with the layout and furniture. Catering comes as shared platters rather than set menus: cheese and charcuterie, a vegan garden board and fruit for around ten people, skewers for about 24, and trays of 24 sliders or bites such as arancini, mini beef wellingtons, prawn tempura and sausage rolls. Drinks run on a tab settled on the night or on three-hour packages at three levels, from house tap beer and Stonefish wines up to Mumm champagne. Groups of 20 or more pay a deposit that comes off the final bill, and numbers and menus are locked in about a week ahead.

Pricing

No room hire or minimum spend is published. Drinks packages run for three hours: Standard at $45 per person, Deluxe at $60 per person and Premium at $80 per person, with extra hours at $15 to $20 per person and house spirits added for $20 per person. Platters are priced per tray, from $80 for vegetable skewers to $150 for the cheese and charcuterie board, and slider and bite trays cost $120 for 24 pieces. Groups of 20 or more pay a deposit that goes towards the food or drinks bill.

Food

Function food is served as platters: a cheese and Mediterranean charcuterie board, a vegan garden platter and seasonal fruit for about ten people; chicken, lamb, pork or vegetable skewers for about 24; and trays of 24 sliders (falafel, fried chicken, cheeseburger or pork belly bao) or hot and cold bites. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items are marked, and food is paid in full five days before the event.

Beverages

Choose a bar tab, settled on the night, or a three-hour package. Standard covers Stonefish sparkling, white and red, tap beers and soft drinks; Deluxe adds a wider wine list and craft taps such as Young Henrys and Stone and Wood; Premium brings Mumm champagne and every beer on tap. Outside drinks are not allowed without approval.
