The Wharf Restaurant & Bar is part of the Sydney Theatre Company's home on Wharf 4/5, 15 Hickson Road, at the edge of Dawes Point and Walsh Bay. It is run with The Fresh Collective and takes its cue from the original Wharf Restaurant that operated here in the 1980s, serving modern Australian food for lunch, dinner, pre-show meals and drinks. The venue has indoor dining rooms, a large outdoor terrace and two balconies built over the water, all looking across to the Harbour Bridge and the north shore. The Angel's Balcony is the bigger of the two, an outdoor, semi-private deck for 50 seated or 100 standing, and suits long lunches, launches and wedding receptions. The Small Balcony takes 20 seated or 50 standing for drinks and smaller celebrations, though it doubles as the theatre's pre-show and interval area on performance nights, which limits when it can be booked. Group dining for eight to twenty people is served from two set menus: two courses for $79 per person or three courses for $92, with dishes such as prawn agnolotti, beef fillet and Snowy River trout. For larger functions the events team puts together catering and beverage packages to suit the brief and budget, covering formats from breakfast events to cocktail parties and seated dinners.
