About The Hornsby Inn

The Hornsby Inn is a corner pub at Hunter and Burdett streets in the middle of Hornsby, a few minutes from the station and Westfield. It has a bistro, sports screens, pool tables, live music on Friday nights and ten accommodation rooms on the second floor, and it runs three separate spaces for private functions. The Den is the biggest, a private room for up to 250 standing guests with a minimum of 30. It has its own bar, dance floor lighting, AV equipment and a dedicated music system, so it suits a laid-back drinks party just as well as a big night on the dance floor. The Bistro and Terrace also hold up to 250 standing, or you can take just the outdoor Terrace for about 50 if you want a beer-garden feel without hiring a whole room. The Whistle Stop Bar is fitted out like a vintage railway carriage, with mood lighting and exclusive use for up to 50 standing. Smaller groups of up to 20 can simply book a table in the bistro. Catering starts with finger food packages from $23 per person for six pieces, rising to nine pieces at $42, plus a $45 option. There is also a set menu with shared starters and a choice of mains, boxed meals, and desserts such as tiramisu cups or a chocolate fountain. Drinks can be a tailored package or a bar tab, and pool table hire is available. A deposit secures the room and comes off your bill once the minimum spend is reached.

Finger food packages are $23 per person for six pieces from the first selection, $28 for six from either selection, $32 for seven, $37 for eight and $42 for nine, with a $45 per person option of seven pieces. Room deposits of $300 to $500 apply depending on the space, and pool table hire is $100. A minimum spend applies; the deposit is credited against it.

Food

Finger food includes arancini, samosas, spring rolls, mini beef pies, rice paper rolls, sushi, sliders, lamb kofta and chicken satay, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices marked. The set menu has calamari and falafel to share, then a choice of rump steak, Atlantic salmon or pesto penne, with dessert for $9 more. Boxed meals and desserts such as lemon curd tartlets, tiramisu cups, chocolate mousse and a chocolate fountain for $100 round it out.

Beverages

The pub can set up a tailored drinks package, a bar tab, or tea and coffee service. The Den has its own private bar. Outside food and drink can't be brought in without the venue's approval.
