About The Glenmore Hotel
The Glenmore Hotel has stood on Cumberland Street in The Rocks since 1921. The heritage-listed pub has three levels: a traditional public bar at street level, a lounge floor with a 1920s-style cocktail bar and private rooms, and a rooftop looking 180 degrees across the harbour, the Opera House and the CBD skyline. A retractable roof covers about 70% of the rooftop. There are several bookable spaces. On the rooftop, Circular Quay View takes 35 to 50 seated or up to 120 cocktail-style and can have its own bar for 50 or more; Opera House View holds 20 to 35; and Utzon's, a small private corner, suits 10 to 15. Rooftop spaces can be combined for up to 200. Downstairs, the Grand Dining Room seats up to 20 at a long banquet table, the Club Room seats 8 with lounges and a Juliet balcony, and the Drawing Room seats 12. Out of Bounds, a 1970s-style lounge with leather and a fireplace, holds 40 standing with its own bar and terrace access, and the Bridge Garden on Cumberland Street takes 40. Canapé packages run from $60 per person for six pieces to $80 for ten, with a two-course set menu at $60 and a shared banquet at $75. Platters, a cocktail cart, flowers, balloons and a photo booth can be added. Drinks packages start at $65 per person for three hours, or you can set a prepaid bar tab. Rooftop events need at least 20 guests, seated menus aren't offered on the rooftop on Friday and Saturday evenings, and external music and microphones can't be used on the shared rooftop.
